Monstercat now has another debutant in Snareskin, who has released his track – Mad For You, via the label. The bassy track has Trove on the vocals and it sounds truly crisp!
The Dutch producer’s debut release on Monstercat seems to be quite impressive with the track capturing everyone’s attention right from the first time of listening. His production sounds crisp and decisive, as the hard-hitting drop tinkers every cell in your head as you listen to it. The groovy and smooth sounds complement the equally soothing vocals from Trove. It has a series of ‘wow’ elements, be it the amazing transitions or the airy chimes at places before diving into bass heavy stuff once again!
The jazzy, classical music has been met with the raw sound of contemporary bass works which creates a unique flavour to his music. His music portrays, quite clearly, his confidence and the creative prowess in his production.
His live shows are well known for and are very unconventional. Displaying the complex mind of the artist, the visuals are usually a treat. Through each of SNARESKIN s releases, a narrative or train of thoughts unfolds, and those ideas are highlighted in SNARESKIN’s live show. It makes the ambience very meditative and explosive at the same time.
Australian singer, songwriter and producer Trove exhibits an array of organic and electronic timbres, animated beats and expressive melodies, creating a captivating mood. In the short time that Trove has been active as an artist, he has taken home the Grand Prize Win for the Nashville Film Festival Inaugural Songwriting Competition judged by Timbaland, signed a publishing deal under the Kobalt umbrella and has entered the Spotify viral charts in Canada, France, Taiwan, Singapore, Germany and more. In under 9 months as an artist, Trove has released multiple features and originals garnering over 5 million streams collectively on Spotify alone as well as writing and producing music for network television shows such as NCIS:LA and The Imposters. Trove performed his first live performance at this year’s SXSW Music Festival and has plans to put out a collection of work later this year.
Time and again we have seen incredible releases on the label and this one sure seems like it will create a bit of a storm! With shows lined up across the Netherlands this summer, the tune will definitely feature on many stages and sets.
