TRAX Records Drops ‘Rising Again’ Vinyl to Celebrate 40 Years of House!

The legendary TRAX Records is back with a bang, dropping its limited-edition vinyl release, Rising Again, to celebrate 40 years of shaping house music.

TRAX is not just the birthplace of house, it’s an institution that’s seen everything from underground hits to global anthems. This year, they’ve taken things to the next level with a special project that blends the best of old-school legends with the newest talent in house music. Rising Again is the ultimate tribute to TRAX’s incredible legacy, and it’s bound to light up dancefloors worldwide.

The project, spearheaded by Pi Rho, executive producer of the release, brings together a global team of artists and producers. This isn’t just another album; it’s a showcase of creativity, combining classic techniques with cutting-edge technology. One of the most unique elements? Brainwave-generated soundscapes, created with the help of neurotech innovations, courtesy of Jacques x Gregory and Spada. These new-age sounds are mixed with vintage synths, Neve consoles, and live instruments, ensuring every track feels fresh yet familiar.

But let’s talk about the music! Rising Again features an all-star lineup of house legends like Screamin’ Rachael, Joe Smooth, and Jacques x Gregory. The vinyl includes six tracks, each offering a different taste of the diverse house music culture that TRAX helped build. Screamin’ Rachael’s powerful vocals take center stage on tracks like “I’ll Take You There” and “The Ultimate House Party,” while Joe Smooth reinvents “Rising” with an Afro House remix. The release even ventures into new territory with Kushgad’s Dancehall-flavored “Hands Up Jamaica,” bridging Chicago and Kingston in one electrifying tune.

Pi Rho himself explains the passion behind the project, saying, “It’s been an amazing journey producing ‘Rising Again.’ I wanted to bring together artists from around the world to showcase how big a global movement house music is, while honoring its roots in Chicago.” And if that wasn’t enough, all proceeds from Rising Again will go to SocialWorks, a charity supporting youth through arts and education. So, not only are you getting your hands on some fresh house jams, but you’re also supporting a great cause.

The limited-edition vinyl (only 500 copies) is already making waves and will be available for purchase soon. With a mix of vintage sound crafting and innovative new tech, Rising Again is a true milestone in TRAX Records’ storied history. Forty years later, house music is RISING AGAIN.
