With this sound, it’s no surprise that UNDERHER has already caught the attention of tastemakers across Europe.
The young and talented duo, UNDERHER, has come out with a new EP, “Dark Souls” on their own record label, IAMHER.
Featuring two originals, two remixes of the title track from dörfler and Strinner, and also a remix by Koa of “Strained Are WE”, the album is an absolute treat for the music fans.
The title track begins with an atmospheric vibe in the production, which the vocals also richly display. A soothing feeling is what you will experience as the music gently flows through crisp and clean. Usage of chimes and melodies in the background, adds more color to the production, while the drums maintain their consistency. Quietly, the track fades into the climax, leaving you enriched.
The other original from the album, “Stranded Are We”, starts with a darker feeling as compared to the title track. Led by husky vocals once again, the track manages to create an intimate vibe before it moves into the drop which is subtle and groovy. Swiftly swaying between being raw and being magical, the track surely is one that will be a part of your playlist for a long time. The remixes add all the more variety to the track and make the EP feel complete.
The two tracks have received immense reception across Europe including the fact that “Dark Souls” and “Stranded Are WE” have both been featured in the popular Netflix series, Elite. The pair has also turned in official remixes for music royalty Moby, U2 and Booka Shade – who liked their production so much they’re now collaborating with them for a future release.
UNDERHER’s incredible live performances – with Jessica on vocals and Kalden on a full electronic setup – have seen them support the likes of HVOB and SOHN, and play festivals and club shows internationally such as Stereo Montreal, Piknic Électronik, Uberhaus Beirut, Sisyphos and Katerblau Berlin, and Blue Marlin Dubai.
