$5 Drinks and 30 New Locations? Texas Roadhouse’s 2025 Expansion Is Wild

Texas Roadhouse expansion plans just dropped, and fans can’t stop talking about how the steakhouse chain is absolutely crushing it right now regarding new locations.

The beloved restaurant, often dubbed better than Olive Garden by loyal guests, is gearing up to open 30 new locations across the U.S. in 2025. And that’s not even the end of it, big changes are coming to menus and happy hours too, so if you’re a fan, buckle up.

Known for its hand-cut steaks, ice-cold beer, and laid-back Texas-style vibes, Texas Roadhouse has long been a staple in the casual dining world. But this year, the Texas Roadhouse expansion is on another level. Parent company Bubba’s 33 just confirmed that 30 new restaurants are slated to launch over the next 10 months, spreading that legendary sirloin love even further. Already, locations have popped up in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Texas, and Virginia, with more on the way.

Fans have made it clear they prefer Texas Roadhouse over chains like Olive Garden, Chili’s, Applebee’s, and Buffalo Wild Wings, praising everything from the buttery rolls to the massive portions. And with numbers like these, it’s no surprise the brand is scaling fast. In fact, Texas Roadhouse Inc., which includes Bubba’s 33 and Jaggers, skyrocketed from $4.63 billion in sales in 2023 to a jaw-dropping $5.4 billion by the end of 2024. CEO Jerry Morgan couldn’t be prouder, saying the brand ended last year with traffic growth across all three of its restaurant names.

But don’t think this Texas Roadhouse expansion is just about opening more doors. They’re also shaking up their drink game in a big way. The chain is about to launch an all-day $5 beverage program at select spots, and we’re not just talking about watered-down drinks. Guests will be able to enjoy 10 oz. Original Margaritas, 16 oz. beers, and classic Long Island Iced Teas for just five bucks. That’s right, happy hour is now happy all day long at participating locations.

Before this change, happy hour was limited to 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays. Now, the new deal makes it way easier for guests to unwind anytime they want. The brand says the goal is to bring people together, give them a reason to try new menu items, and just relax without breaking the bank.

If you’re not into alcohol, no worries, Texas Roadhouse hasn’t forgotten about you. Their handcrafted $5 mocktails are officially here and turning heads with vibrant flavors and zero booze. Options include the Strawberry Cucumber Fizz, Sparkling Berry Bliss, and Tropical Breeze. They’re fizzy, fruity, and just as Instagram-worthy as they are tasty.

For example, the Strawberry Cucumber Fizz mixes strawberry, cucumber, and lemonade with a splash of club soda. Sparkling Berry Bliss blends blackberry and cranberry juice with bubbles, and the Tropical Breeze brings a bold combo of coconut, mango, blue Curaçao, and the chain’s signature sour mix.

In case you’ve been sleeping on this chain, the numbers speak volumes. On average, a single Texas Roadhouse location serves 5,000 guests per week, one of the highest traffic rates in the restaurant industry. They pump out a staggering 300,000 meals every single day. The average restaurant is around 7,000 square feet and seats close to 300 people. Their ice-cold draft beer is served at a perfect 36 degrees Fahrenheit, and they offer 15 different kinds of margaritas, each one more legendary than the last. The top menu item? The 6-ounce USDA Choice Sirloin, hands down. Steaks make up 44% of everything sold.

The Texas Roadhouse expansion shows no signs of slowing down, and with more customers embracing their bold flavors, high-energy atmosphere, and ridiculously affordable drinks, the brand is locked in for a huge 2025. Whether you’re there for the sizzling steak, the $5 margaritas, or just the peanuts and rolls, one thing is for sure, Texas Roadhouse is officially the people’s champ of casual dining.
