The long-revived Swedish House Mafia once again deliver a stunning track, this time in collaboration with Synth Pop sensation The Weeknd.
They reinvented themselves by combining not just forces but also genres. Swedish House Mafia’s classic builds and arrangements are merged with The Weeknd’s new forms of synth-pop in “Moth To A Flame.” The chord progression also recalls the group’s all-time favourite “Leave the World Behind” which also featured Laidback Luke and Deborah Cox.
The Weeknd first teased the track back in September, posting two audio clips and tagging the recently reunited group. A teaser for the track was also shared earlier this week.
Additionally, the video shows off the new visual aesthetic created by the band for their long-awaited studio album “Paradise Again”.They released two other singles this year, including “Lifetime” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and 070 Shake and “It Gets Better,” both of which reached the Top 15 of Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
A 44-date arena world tour will follow with the Swedish House Mafia’s performance at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2022.
