Ultra Music Festival

In March 2018, Ultra Music Festival celebrated its 20th anniversary in Miami. This was a massive celebration as Ultra worldwide has now hosted over 1 million attendees across the globe.

Ultra Music festival ideally began as a one-day festival in 1999 at Collins park, in Miami. It then grew into a unique event which ran for multiple days with a focus on underground sounds within the electronic music industry. Since then the culture of Ultra evolved with other sounds within the EDM genre with other genres like trance, house and so on. Artists and fans realized that the Ultra Music Festival is a place for the most creative and defining performances which resonate through their shows and live acts.

While Ultra is one of the largest growing properties in the Music industry, Formula 1 is a property that is growing at a fast pace, in the sports segment.

Just like Ultra, Formula 1 started small, but has kept rising in its scale and figures of attendance. In 2017, Ultra and the Formula 1 season spread across 20 countries and 5 continents proving that both these events have a massive reach in each of their segments/categories.

What has really helped Ultra garner this reach and credibility is having great line ups for each of their events from the time they established. In it’s early days Ultra hosted artists like Paul Van Dyk, Pete Tong and Carl cox, which only helped them expand their artist list, year after year. Maintaining their stunning line ups has allowed Ultra Worldwide to host 1028+ artists on various stages across the globe in 2017 alone.

Another amazing achievement that Ultra unlocked in 2017 is of their attendance, which at UMF Miami was similar to another large scale event i.e. Glastonbury festival which was approximately 165K. Ultra Worldwide has now hosted 45 events in 2017, which was 23 new events to their already massive roster.

After unlocking achievements in global scale/reach and attendance, Ultra is already gearing up for next year, and they have announced that that they will be back to Bayfront park in March 2019 from 29th – 31st. Ultra Worldwide is already on a roll with their recent acquisition of the Winter Music Conference, and the International Dance Music Awards.

It will be interesting to see what Ultra Music Festival has in store for us, this year and next. With recent expansions and developments, it is difficult to predict, but one thing that we can be sure of is that it will certainly be impactful.
