After releasing her debut Album on Jus Ed’s Underground Quality label, Dana Ruh returns here to her own label, Brouqade, with the stunning 3 track EP that is Yardang.
The 3 tracks are all about feeling and vibes but are also made with the floor in mind. The EP starts off with “case sensitive“, a rack that catches the feel good vibe perfectly. With a swinging baseline and strong claps and mesmerizing chords, Dana continues her definition of warm organic deep house.
“I’m surprised whats real…” starts off an atmospheric tip and soon becomes a real trip. Again, it’s all about the atmospheric sounds, even though the focus never leaves the dancefloor. The Multilayered atmospheres stand in contrast to the drum programming and show the producer’s experimental side in the process. Closing track, ”Yardang’,’ starts as a groove focused track that works perfectly on the floor. During the arrangement, more and more jazzy elements crop up, in the process making it a melodic track that’s full of elegance.
