Music festivals in Hong Kong might not be as frequent as regions like Europe and the United States Of America, however, it has its own set of unique festivals that must be on your festival bucket list.

If you don’t know yet, Hong Kong is one of the best cities in Asia to visit and if you enjoy traveling and visiting festivals, then these 5 music festivals in Hong Kong should definitely feature on your trip.

Clockenflap

This festival takes place for three days from November 17th onwards and what follows is pure magic. Individual souls unite in a musical universe under a luminous skyline. The most amazing thing about this festival is that it makes you feel elated in your independent self, and you can take your shoes off and dance your way through the grass. Clockenflap takes place on the Central Harbourfront of Hong Kong and also makes for the best weekend trip.

Creamfields

This festival was ideally launched in the United Kingdom in 1998. Creamfields is one of the worlds largest dance music festivals and is coming for its second edition this December. Last year was its first debut at Asia World – Expo and features artists like Marshmello, Kaskade, Tiesto, and Flume. This year’s line up is equally massive with Armin, Martin Garrix, Axwell and Ingrosso and more. ALTN8

The organizers of ALTN8 made a huge noise with their debut last year by presenting 40 acts which featured artists like Stephan Bodzin, Tube & Berger, Nakadia, Lusine and many more. This years’ event will be held on 24th November in PMQ which is a historic heritage site in Hong Kong’s Central District. Shi Fu Miz

This music festival is an art project created by the Hong Kong-based music agency, FuFu and the music collective La Mamie’s from France. They have emerged as one of the electronic music festivals to go to since it first debut in 2016.

This two-day festival includes camping, experiencing an adventure park Cheung Chau and also has a heavy-hitting international DJ line-up which included Britain’s Ben UFO, Skateboard from Norway and American Glenn Underground. ABGT300

If you love trance, then you will love the trance music legends Above and Beyond in Hong Kong. Coming September 29th the trio will be broadcasting the live stream of the event, from the Asia World – Expo. Some other destinations for this the legendary ABGT celebrations have been, New York City’s Madison Square Garden and London’s Alexandra Palace. Perhaps what is most interesting is an official daytime after party at West Kowloon featuring a yoga session hosted by Above and Beyond.
