London-by-way-of-New York audio-visual artist Ariana and the Rose has her sights set firmly on owning 2017, returning with brand new single Love You Lately to ramp up her remarkable trajectory to the upper echelons of pop.
A collaborative release with L.As RKCB, Love You Lately is a certified pop / R&B masterpiece. Ariana and RCKB tackle the anguish of indifference…slick vocals, reminiscent of golden-era R&B ballads, float above glitchy, looping night-time synths, sounding at once romantic and heartbroken in the midst of a pulsing beat.
The singers extraordinary ability to craft epic, alternative pop songs is perfectly showcased in a 3 minute 56 second bundle of sonic brilliance.
“The song is a snapshot of the moment you realise you’re both not the same people who entered the relationship anymore. It’s as if you’re watching both of you go through the motions while you know its falling apart,” says Ariana of the captivating duet. “The song felt really poignant as a duet, to have a male and female perspective and voice telling the story. Working with RKCB was the best, the song just kind of flowed out of us and being in the studio together was a blast.”
When Riley Knapp and Casey Barth fuse together their diverse layers of electronic, R&B music, the result is an unparalleled work of art. Both accomplished as producers and songwriters, RKCB have worked with the likes of Erik Hassle, Kacy Hill, and Tinashe.
