The late Swedish sensation – Avicii’s home in the Hollywood Hills West, Los Angeles has been sold for an off-market value of $17.5 million.
Avicii had bought the house in 2013, the year when his smash hits ‘Wake Me Up’ and ‘Hey Brother’ came out, for $15.55 million.
The contemporary house was built in 2008 and was visually a treat with asymmetric and new-age architecture. Build on a third-of-an-acre piece of land in the Bird Streets neighborhood, it offers a spectacular view of downtown L.A.
The house was a beauty, with six-bedrooms and spread over 7000 sq. ft. Laced with ceiling to floor windows, an infinity pool, a spa, fire pit and a lounge, it was truly one that he loved dearly. With additional space created by the extended terraces, it also had wrap-around balconies.
What also deepens the connection between his death and the house, is the fact that his last Instagram post was of him being in the house. It was a picture of him crossing the floating step on the pool.
All said and done, his memories aren’t only in the place he lived in or the clubs he played at, but it’s in the hearts that he won through his music.
