EDM News

Everyone has been eager to know how Spotify performs since it was one of the most anticipated launches of 2019.

Well, as it has proven itself by constant development to make sure music lovers across the globe keep listening to music with ease, it has also proven itself in the Indian market in its first week of launch by garnering over 1 Million listeners.

Spotify is offering access to more than 40 million songs and 3 billion playlists for all music fans across the country. This access to songs coupled with the fact that it has 1 Million users already, Spotify is already posing as big competition to music streaming services like Gaana, Saavn, Apple Music. What they did well, is launch with access to regional music which was the cherry on the pie.

In addition to this, Spotify has also stated that it has re-designed the music experience for India with exclusive features like city playlists that list trending music in various cities. Well if you want variety, you must be on Spotify because we all know, there is no other streaming service that helps you discover music better.

During a recent investor call, Spotify co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Daniel Ek had said, “it makes us feel comfortable that we have a good chance of being a very, very strong player in the Indian market”.

Needless to say, they are on their way to being one of the strongest players in the Indian market with only a Rs 119 subscription per month to upgrade to Spotify premium.

Apart from building brands in advertising, I love to collaborate with artists and musicians across the globe to create content and tell their stories to the world. Dance music for me has a way of understanding people’s emotions and it also inspires them to break through any barrier to create something beyond their goals.
